II. Customer Information We Collect
We collect information that you actively provide when using the Services, as well as information generated during your use of 【ToonBox】 related features or acceptance of Services, collected through automated and other means, including but not limited to:
2.1 Account Information:
2.1.1 We collect the personal data you provide during registration/login/use, including your mobile phone number or email address, gender, nickname, avatar, and other information. You shall ensure the accuracy of the information you provide. We collect this information to provide you with account (or "Account") registration, login services, complete your network identity verification information, and ensure your account security.
2.1.2 If you choose to log in to 【ToonBox】 through a third-party platform account (e.g., Facebook/Google/Apple ID, etc.), with your consent, we will obtain your public account information registered on the third-party platform (including name, avatar, mobile phone number, email, and other information you authorize) for binding with your 【ToonBox】 account, allowing you to directly log in to 【ToonBox】 and use related Services.
2.2 Camera or Album Permission: When you set or change your avatar or use other related features, we need to obtain your device's camera or album permission to access photos, images, and other data. If you refuse to grant such device permission, you will not be able to use these features, but it will not affect your normal use of other features of 【ToonBox】 and/or the Services.
2.3 Calendar Permission: When you use the appointment reminder or check-in feature (if any), we will request Calendar permission. If you refuse to grant authorization, you will not be able to use this feature, but it will not affect your normal use of other features of 【ToonBox】.
2.4 Clipboard Permission:Information, including text, images, and videos, found in your device's clipboard, with your permission. For example, if you choose to paste content from the clipboard onto the Platform, we access this information stored in your clipboard in order to fulfill your request.
2.5 Device Information and Log Information:
2.5.1 To ensure the secure operation, quality, and efficiency of the software services, we collect your device model, operating system version number, device identification ID [e.g., IMEI, Android ID, GAID for Android, IDFV, IDFA for iOS; different identifiers vary in terms of validity period, whether they can be reset by the user, and acquisition methods], network device address (device MAC address), IP address, network access method, type, status, network quality data, operation, usage, and service logs.
2.5.2 To provide you with better product services and ensure playback and usage effectiveness when using the product, we may obtain system data information such as your device's screen status and system volume level.
2.5.3 We also collect information related to application error reports and performance monitoring, including but not limited to account registration/login time, language, access date and time, application source, application version number, running process information, stack trace information during system crashes, crash reports, and abnormal process logs. The collection of this information helps us better understand your device status, improve application performance, optimize the user experience, and locate faults, thereby enhancing service quality and providing you with more stable and personalized services.
2.6 Security-Related Information: We will collect and properly process information directly related to your account protection and service usage security. This includes, but is not limited to, your password change records, login attempt history (including details of successful and failed logins), and other data that may reveal abnormal account activity. We may use your account information, device information, service log information, as well as information that our affiliates and partners are legally authorized to provide after obtaining your consent, to determine account status and transaction security, perform identity verification, identify illegal and non-compliant situations, detect and prevent security incidents, and take necessary recording, analysis, and disposal measures in accordance with the law. The collection of this information aims to ensure the security of the Platform, prevent unauthorized access, detect potential security threats, and promptly respond to any risks that may compromise your account or the overall security of the Platform.
2.7 Usage Information: When you use the 【ToonBox】 Services, we automatically collect information about the videos you watch, browsing history, searched keywords, number of times you view advertisements and interaction frequency, the time and frequency of your use of 【ToonBox】, your interactions with other users, your transaction information, the information you favorite/share, and/or other interaction data generated during your use of 【ToonBox】.
2.8 Payment Data: If you purchase our membership services, other paid content, etc., we may need to collect your payment data to process your purchase and related activities. Our third-party payment service providers (such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.) will provide us with your payment information for the purpose of verifying your payment status and providing you with purchase services. Please be aware that we collect information about your purchased items, payment transaction ID, and channel ID, but we do not collect any of your bank card numbers, payment passwords, or other payment sensitive information.
2.9 Service Information: When you request our technical support and/or customer service support, and when you exercise your data subject rights in accordance with laws and regulations, we may ask you to provide necessary personal data to match and verify your user identity. We will collect relevant information you provide during your communication with customer service, including but not limited to details of your service request, contact information, communication/call records, and any additional information necessary to resolve your issue. This is to ensure that we can effectively respond to your needs and provide accurate and timely service support.
2.10 Personalized Advertising Information and Recommendation Services: We collect the advertising ID on your device (such as IDFA, AAID, etc., depending on the operating system) and your data (such as interests, browsing and search history, device information, usage habits, location information, order information, etc.). This information will be stored in association with your account information, with the purpose of enabling us to provide page displays and personalized content recommendations that are better suited to your needs.
2.11 Survey and Promotion Information: If you choose to participate in our surveys, promotions, or marketing activities, we will collect the information you provide and your participation details, including your name, email address, mobile phone number, nickname, and country/region.
2.12 Personal Data Exempt from Consent for Collection and Use Pursuant to Law
Please understand that in the following circumstances, according to laws, regulations, relevant national standards, and the requirements of market supervision and judicial authorities, we may collect, use, disclose, share, or transfer your personal data without prior authorization or consent:

In such cases, we will formulate separate privacy statements or policies for the specific services, explaining how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use that service. If there is a discrepancy between the privacy statement for a specific service and this general Privacy Policy, the personal privacy statement for the specific service shall prevail.
2.14 You understand and agree that, in specific contexts, after collecting relevant information, we will de-identify and anonymize the data using technical means. The processed data cannot directly or indirectly be associated with you or others, and therefore no longer constitutes personal data directly or indirectly related to you or others. 3.3 Facilitating us in providing, managing, processing, maintaining, developing, and improving Services (including film and television content, advertising, paid services, system administration, customer service, archiving, and/or backup purposes, etc.);
3.4 Communicating with you, providing personalized recommendation services (including film and television content, advertising), including sending you commercial marketing materials and placing advertisements potentially relevant to your interests, operational activity notifications, agreement text update notifications, or other data related to our Services;
3.5 Evaluating your application regarding the 【ToonBox】 Services, and responding to your questions/inquiries/feedback/disputes;
3.6 Verifying and executing transactions related to your online payments;
3.7 Monitoring, preventing, or investigating any fraudulent activities, abuses, security risks, and technical issues, including those that may harm 【ToonBox】, you, or the public; checking the authenticity of account owners, protecting the security of your account, the 【ToonBox】 Platform users, 【ToonBox】 Services, and systems, and enhancing the security and reliability of 【ToonBox】 Services;
3.8 Analyzing, profiling, segmenting, merging, and/or updating all collected data (whether in aggregated or personalized form) to improve service quality and provide a better experience;
3.9 Responding to government authority requests or fulfilling obligations stipulated by applicable laws and regulations;
3.10 Other purposes we disclose to you separately when collecting your information, or other purposes for which we obtain your consent.
3.11 For the above purposes, our Affiliates may be entrusted to process your information, provided that such Affiliates comply with the terms of this Privacy Policy. An Affiliate in this Privacy Policy refers to an entity that directly or indirectly controls Spark Deep Intelligence Technology Co., Limited, is directly or indirectly controlled by Spark Deep Intelligence Technology Co., Limited, or is under common control with Spark Deep Intelligence Technology Co., Limited.
IV. How We Share and Disclose Your Information
Unless expressly provided otherwise in this Privacy Policy, we will not share your personal information. We will share your personal information in the following situations:
4.1 Your Voluntary Disclosure and Sharing of Your Information
4.1.1 Personal data that you set up and publicly display on your personal profile on 【ToonBox】 (which may include your gender, nickname, avatar, etc.).
4.1.2 You may share your personal data or other information with third parties (including unspecified persons) based on the 【ToonBox】 Services. For example, when you use the sharing feature within the 【ToonBox】 Services, you can choose to share relevant information through methods permitted by the Platform (such as email, SMS, social applications like Facebook, or other applications). You confirm that you are aware that information shared with third-party applications is controlled and processed by the third party and is subject to their terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for any data leakage or use resulting from your sharing activities, and you shall bear the corresponding legal liabilities yourself.
4.2 Our Disclosure and Sharing of Your Information
For your personal data, if one or more of the following circumstances exist, we will disclose or share your information with the following third parties in compliance with the applicable legal requirements of this Policy:
4.2.1 You voluntarily request sharing or sharing is done with your consent;
4.2.2 Announcement of penalties for violating accounts, fraudulent behavior, etc.; or when announcing lists of winners/recipients that require the display of relevant information.
4.2.3 Data Sharing with Business Partners: You understand and acknowledge that some of our Services will be provided by or jointly provided with business partners. Please note: Adjust your preferences does not indicate you will no longer receive ads. It only indicates the ads you see will be less relevant to your interests. Our advertising partners may still use your device’s advertising ID to deliver ads that may be less relevant to you; for example, we may use this functionality for frequency capping (in other words, controlling the maximum number of times you see the same ad from us). Interaction with Third-Party Applications
To provide you with the "Quick Follow" convenience feature, our application may invoke or launch third-party applications installed on your device (including Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok). This action is strictly limited to redirecting you to the specific profile page within the corresponding app; we do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information (such as account credentials, device identifiers, browsing history, etc.).
Once redirected, your activities within the third-party application (including following, logging in, etc.) will be governed by that application’s own privacy policy and user agreement. We are not involved in, nor do we intervene in, any activities or behaviors of these third-party applications.
(6) Other business partners, etc.
You understand and agree that such third-party business partners, referred to below as Third Parties or Contractors, may use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to collect, receive, process, and retain data about you. 4.2.5 In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, we reserve the right to disclose or share your personal data in certain circumstances without your authorization if we, in good faith, deem such disclosure essential for the following purposes:
(1) You have violated any agreement with us, including the Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy, or have caused harm to our legitimate interests;
(2) Your actions have infringed upon the intellectual property or other rights and interests of a Third Party;
(3) Content related to Article 2, Section 2.12 of this Policy.

5.3 If you do not wish to accept Cookies or wish to be notified when a Cookie is placed, you can manage or clear the Cookies already stored in your mobile device or other device through the relevant functions of your device. Some of our services can only be realized by using Cookies. If you refuse to use or clear them, you may not be able to use our relevant services normally or obtain the best service experience through our services, and it may also have a certain impact on your data protection and account security.
VI. How We Store and Protect Your Personal Data
6.1 Storage Location
The current server location for the 【ToonBox】 Services includes: Japan. Concurrently, based on future expansion plans, this Policy also covers potentially added server locations, and we will securely complete server storage or data transfer in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
6.2 Third-Party Sharing and Cross-Border Data Transfer
You understand and agree that, in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy, we may need to share and transfer your personal data to our business operations departments, engineering and technical teams, our affiliated companies, third-party service providers, and partners operating globally. They may be located outside the aforementioned storage locations or the country/region of your jurisdiction. The data protection legal frameworks in these countries/regions may differ from those in the country/region of your jurisdiction.
When processing cross-border data, we will comply with applicable laws and regulations and take necessary protective measures to ensure the security of the data, such as:
(1) Adopting Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as part of the data transfer contract to ensure data processors comply with EU data protection standards.
(2) Participating in internationally recognized data protection mechanisms and cooperating with service providers who have joined international data transfer frameworks certified by schemes such as the EU-US Privacy Shield.
(3) We implement security technologies and procedures no less stringent than those required by Hong Kong data protection law, including encryption technology, access control, and data isolation, to ensure the secure storage of your personal data.
(4) The company has established strict internal data transfer management systems, including but not limited to establishing data protection agreement procedures and data transfer approval processes, to ensure the legality and security of data transfer and protection.
6.3 Storage Period
Generally, we will only store your personal data for the period necessary to provide the Services or for a longer period as required by law. After exceeding the aforementioned storage period, we will delete or anonymize your personal data in accordance with the requirements of relevant laws and regulations.
However, we may need to adjust the storage period for personal data in the following circumstances based on legal requirements:

(6) In the event that our products or services cease operation, we will notify you through push notifications, announcements, or other forms, and will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period.
6.4 Special Note for Canadian Users: After making a decision using your personal data that directly affects you, we commit to retaining this data for at least one year to provide you with a sufficient opportunity to access the data relied upon for the relevant decision. This means that even if you subsequently withdraw or change your consent to our collection, processing, sharing, or public disclosure of your personal data, we reserve the right to continue retaining this data as long as there is a reasonable legal basis.
6.5 Our Measures for Personal Data Protection:
6.5.1 We adopt security technical measures, encryption technology, and related reasonable and feasible means that comply with industry standards, and establish relevant security departments and management systems and procedures to protect the security of your personal data, in order to minimize the risk of your data being leaked, damaged, misused, subjected to unauthorized access, unauthorized disclosure, and alteration, including but not limited to:
(1) If, according to laws, regulations, and this Policy, your renewed authorized consent is required before sharing your data with a Third Party, we will inform you of the type, purpose, and recipient of the data to be shared before the sharing, and will proceed only after obtaining your authorized consent;
(2) We will contractually constrain our partners regarding their obligations and legal liabilities for the protection of personal data;
